Chickpea Spread

  • Serves : 4 to 6
  • Preparation : 10 minutes


  • 500 ml (2 cups) canned chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp.) lime juice
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 125 ml (½ cup) iÖGO Probio Lactose-free Plain yogurt
  • 5 ml (1 tsp.) ground cumin
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp.) Italian parsley, chopped
  • Salt and ground pepper
Do you say "hummus" or "houmous"?


In a food processor, puree all ingredients until smooth.

Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Serve with roasted French bread, crostinis or pita. Transfer to a serving plate, drizzle with oil and sprinkle with cumin and fresh parsley.
